American Fibertek Inc.'s 984-SL series optic transceivers transmit eight channels of 10-bit digitized video and full duplex RS-485 (2 or 4 wire), RS-422 or user-configurable Manchester data on a single-mode optical fiber at 1310 and 1550 nm. Diagnostic indicators provide a quick visual check of system status, and no field adjustments at installation or additional maintenance thereafter are necessary. Operating temperature is from −40 to 75 °C. The system is compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM formats, as well as RS-170A and RS-343A standards.
