Pleora Technologies Inc. has announced enhancements to its iPort vision connectivity solution for Gigabit Ethernet imaging systems. The added features include an encoder input for tracking changing speeds on conveyor belts or other moving system elements. A rescaler allows the controller to scale encoder signals up and down so that camera acquisition rates are mapped correctly to the speed of the moving elements. An event delayer can be used to postpone the triggering of system elements until the right moment. The technology also includes a high memory driver, improved networking flexibility, enhanced archiving capabilities and expanded Linux support.
