Cognex Corp. has announced the addition of the In-Sight 5400C color and 5401 high-resolution vision sensors to its product line. The 5400C is designed for identifying motor camshafts by color or for verifying the position of color LEDs at electrical test stations. The 5401 is suitable for automotive and general assembly applications that require increased resolution for inspecting small objects or for capturing images of larger parts. Both are self-contained, meet IEC specifications for shock and vibration, and achieve an IP67 rating for dust- and wash-down protection. They also include a vision spreadsheet interface and In-Sight Explorer software for application development and network administration
