NORWICH, England, Jan. 10, 2014 — Artemis CCD Ltd.'s VS range of cooled CCD scientific cameras features new upgrades, including increased image digitization and enhanced lens compatibility.

The ICX285-based VS14 now offers a minimum frame rate of 3 fps, which can be further increased to 7 fps with 4 × 4 pixel binning while maintaining a typical read noise of 6 electrons. The model features a low-noise electronics design combined with thermoelectric cooling of −35 °C and a 12-MHz live view.

Another upgrade is the adoption of a C-mount thread as the standard lens interface for the camera range, allowing users to attach any C-mount lens without an adapter.

The camera range is suitable for OEMs of integrated imaging systems and for low-light microscopy users.
