The model 225 1-m monochromator from McPherson Inc. performs rapid data collection and simplified spectral analysis, and features a built-in calibration port. Suitable for experimental physics experiments using high-temperature plasma, the device resolves 0.01 nm. It offers interchangeable triple-grating turrets, dual entrance and exit port configurations, and diffraction gratings for 30 to 1000 nm. It has a stainless steel vacuum construction with minimal Viton O-ring seals for pumping to 10 to 8 t. Multiple port configurations facilitate mounting of fast detectors such as channel electron multipliers, photomultipliers or slower CCD detectors. A proprietary focal plane tip/tilt drive augments direct-detection CCDs.
