Coherent Inc. has launched the Verdi V12 diode-pumped solid-state laser with a high-power CW output at 532 nm.

The V12 adds to a family of Verdi lasers including the V2, V5, V6, V8 and V10 models. It features a single-longitudinal-mode output, an optical noise < 0.3% RMS measured from 10 Hz to 1 GHz and a diode-to-green conversion efficiency of > 25%. It also offers a linewidth of < 5 MHz, a beam divergence of < 0.5 mrad and a power stability of ± 1%. Coherent-12-Watt-Green-Lase.jpg

It is suitable for pumping ultrafast Ti:Sapphire lasers and high repetition rate amplifiers utilized in research applications. It may also be used for low noise applications such as carrier envelope phase stabilization, frequency comb generation, broadband pump-probe spectroscopy and attosecond physics.
