VAN NUYS, Calif., Jan. 25, 2021 — Vertical Lift StagesOptimal Engineering Systems Inc. has announced three models of the AT20-30 high-precision vertical lift stage, capable of elevating heavy loads by 30 mm in an ultra-low-profile design.

The rigid box construction of the moving component of the elevator stage travels on six slide rails, assuring smooth vertical travel and parallelism of the table and mounting surface at all times. Powered by a two-phase stepper motor, the vertical lift stage features 3.315-μm full-step resolution, 5-μm repeatability, and 15-μm positional accuracy. Motor options include a two-phase stepper motor, single-phase direct-current servo motor for low-cost closed loop operation, and a three-phase brushless servo motor for the high precision and travel speeds.

The large 500 × 300 mm stage is ideal for manufacturing and assembly, positioning of lab equipment, testing, inspection, sampling, and laser drilling and machining in a broad range of industrial, medical, semiconductor, and research applications. Stage options include availability with a stepper motor, a stepper motor with optical encoder for position verification, a direct-current servo motor, or three-phase brushless servo motor for closed-loop operation.
