Halcyonics GmbH now offers benchtop vibration isolation units with external control electronics for use with microscopes and lasers, for example. The external controller enables applications sensitive to temperatures and electromagnetic fields that might be created by internal electronics. All heat-creating components such as the systems’ switched power supply, power amplifiers, the automatic load adjustment printed circuit board as well as the USB interface are away from the microscope or laser. The controller measures a compact 345 × 237 × 135 mm. Isolation begins at 1 Hz and reaches up to 35 dB above 10 Hz.
