The MarVision MM 320 video measuring microscope from Mahr Federal Inc. features image processing capability suited for the measurement and/or dimensioning of geometric elements. The instrument incorporates a CCD color camera with zoom lens, a touchscreen PC with computer and mouse and Windows 7-based M3 software. Automatic edge detection allows measurement of low-contrast features, and a multi-touch function enables continuous variable magnification using either touchscreen or mouse.
The instrument rests on a granite base with a precision-mounted X-Y table. An optical incremental measuring system enables fine adjustment of the axis, and a laser pointer facilitates part positioning.
Offering solutions to 2-D measurement and inspection tasks, the MarVision instruments have applications ranging from cutting tools and precision products for manufacturing, plastics and medical technology to miniaturized electronic components.
