HOOD RIVER, Ore., Sept. 23, 2014 — Designed for OEMs and integrators, the Vinden CZ 640 chassis camera from Sierra-Olympic Technologies is an uncooled, continuous-zoom camera that provides LWIR thermal imaging.

The camera has a horizontal field of view from 17.1° to 1.5° and features a 640 × 480 pixel resolution at 30 or 9 Hz. It delivers H.264/MJPEG IP video with 3× optical zoom, 4× digital zoom, on-board streaming video storage and FTP file connectivity to the host.

Applications include the surveillance and security imaging fields, for use in port and harbor security, defense, thermal pan/tilt/zoom systems and infrastructure security, among others.
