With enhanced features, Comsol Inc.’s Multiphysics
3.3 software is designed to bring simulation and virtual prototyping capabilities
to a greater number of engineers. The release expands the number of possible applications
for the technology into almost every field, including science, research and engineering.
Key features include ready-made couplings between common physics, an improved user
interface, interactive meshing, and the ability to merge components to build models
and to handle CAD assemblies. Support for the multiphysics analysis of surface contact
and gains toward fully automatic solver selection also are offered.
