Cobolt AB has expanded its portfolio of compact visible lasers into the orange spectrum with the Cobolt Mambo.

Cobolt-Mambo.jpgSuitable for fluorescence analysis applications, including confocal microscopy and flow cytometry, the solid-state laser operates at a fixed wavelength of 594 nm and has an output power of up to 50 mW. It is built in a hermetically sealed compact package using the proprietary HTCure technology for extreme robustness, according to the company.

The single longitudinal mode laser delivers a low noise of < 0.3% rms, a narrow spectral line width of typically < 30 MHz and a beam quality of M2 < 1.1. It is based on the proprietary periodically poled potassium titanyl phosphate frequency conversion technology for optimum flexibility and efficiency.

The company also offers a range of diode-pumped solid-state lasers for the fluorescence-based bioanalytical industry, including 473, 491, 515, 532, 561 and 594 nm with output powers from 10 to 300 mW.
