For smart cameras, Tattile srl has announced the first release of its Antares Engine Tool Kit for National Instruments’ LabView, which gives LabView developers access to nearly 500 Tattile Antares vision tools. Developers familiar with the LabView environment now can implement vision systems with any Tattile smart camera or image analyzer. With the new tool kit, users can develop and deploy vision applications for the Antares Engine using only LabView. To develop the tool kit, the company collaborated with ImagingLab srl. The key to the integration of LabView and Antares is the employment of the user datagram protocol over Ethernet, a technique that ensures compatibility between Tattile smart vision hardware and all other equipment supported by LabView.
