Vitara UBB Femtosecond Laser
Coherent Inc.Request Info
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 27, 2013 —
The most recent member of Coherent’s Vitara family of closed-box, ultrafast oscillators is the UBB (ultrabroadband) sub-10-fs laser. It is suitable for applications including terahertz pulse generation, OCT, pump-probe spectroscopy, multiplexed CARS (coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy), nonlinear microscopic imaging and for seeding short-pulse amplifiers.
The turnkey system provides hands-free access to pulse widths less than 10 fs, with options below 8 fs on request. As a result of its broad bandwidth (200 nm at the −10-dB point), it can achieve short transform-limited pulse widths. The device is integrated with the proprietary Verdi G pump laser and PowerTrack active pump beam alignment, and it features electronically adjustable bandwidth control and a robust optomechanical design.
