A plug-and-play volume measuring system from Framos Imaging Systems enables 3-D recording of the dimensions and volumes of general cargo in real time.

Based on transmitted light, the Volume Light Grid (VLG) measures objects regardless of degree of reflection or transmission, making it useful for retail and baggage logistics.

The system can aid in verifying receipt of goods, optimizing use of storage space and warehousing, automated processing and picking and continual quality control.

It is available in models from 50 × 50 cm to 3 × 3 m in size with resolutions from 2.5 to 10 mm.
