OptiBPM 6.0 waveguide software supports modeling, simulation and analysis of devices containing anisotropic materials. The software, which is produced by Optiwave Corp., features customizable user-defined waveguides and a dw-2000 export for implementing design and manufacturing work flows. Vertical waveguide-thickness tapering allows channel waveguides and fibers to be tapered linearly. The 3-D channel waveguide profiles support nonsymmetrical structures. Scattering data can be exported in polar coordinates for modeling larger devices, such as an optical circuit.
