High energy density threshold wave plates are available from Gooch & Housego PLC in broadband and V and W coatings, as well as in coatings for high-power applications. The wave plates are supplied mounted or unmounted, and can be antireflection-coated. They are available with λ/4, λ/2 or λ/n retardation and are air-spaced, optically contacted or cemented. They are offered in ultraviolet, visible and infrared wavelengths with broadband quartz and MgF₂ achromatic doublets.
