The nSpec™ PRISM photoluminescence system from Nanotronics provides front-end wafer manufacturing from unpolished silicon carbide substrate to epitaxy and device manufacturing.
With a custom illuminator and modular design, users can broaden their defect detection and classification capabilities directly on the factory floor. The system eliminates the need for destructive testing methods. When coupled with artificial intelligence infrastructure, users are able to detect and classify stacking faults, triangles, and other defects of interest on silicon carbide epitaxial wafers, as well as cracks and sliplines in gallium nitride.
