The Reflective Pulse Oximetry Sensor from Taiwan Biophotonic Co. is designed to be worn comfortably on the wrist rather than the fingers, toes or earlobes.

The device measures pulse rate and blood oxygenation to monitor heart and lung function.

It is made up of green, red and infrared LEDs, a photodiode and a diffractive optical element (DOE) with a high signal-to-noise ratio. The DOE is microstructured to enhance reflected light propagation within the skin.
