BARRINGTON, N.J., Oct. 10, 2014 — Providing greater than 75 percent transmission of P-polarize light, wire grid polarizing cube beamsplitters from Edmund Optics provide high contrast over large angles of incidence.
The beamsplitters are constructed using a wire grid polarizer cemented between two precision high-tolerance right-angle prisms made of a N-BK7 substrate. An antireflection coating is applied to each face, providing an average of less than 0.5 percent reflection per surface. High spectral contrast is maintained from 400 to 700 nm over a large cone angle of +25°.
The devices are designed for applications using uncollimated light, including broadband white light sources, head up displays, interferometry and spectroscopy.
