Bruker AXS Inc. has unveiled the S8 Tiger wavelength dispersive x-ray fluorescence spectrometer for elemental analysis in industrial applications such as cement, mining and petrochemistry. It analyzes all elements in a variety of sample types. A high-intensity x-ray tube excites the sample, and crystals developed for various elements and specific applications perform the analysis with improved detection limits, precision and resolution. The device’s TouchControl integrated touch screen and dedicated user interface enable untrained users to operate it with minimal instructions. Its SampleCare function automatically recognizes liquid samples, and its integrated seal protects against contamination.
