DURHAM, N.C., Oct. 2, 2008 – Cree Inc. has added the XLamp MC-E LED to its XLamp family of high-lumen LEDs.

Cree-MC-E-Warm-Lit-HR.jpgThe LED is a lighting-class multi-chip LED that provides four times the flux of the company’s XR-E model in the same 7 x 9 mm footprint. It provides up to 790 lumens at 6000 K and up to 605 lumens at 3000 K, and it is available in white from 2600 to 10,000 K CCT. It also offers a 3 °C/W thermal resistance, a viewing angle of 110° and has a maximum drive current of 700 mA per LED die.

The LED is suitable for lighting applications, including color-changing, portable and personal, outdoor and indoor directional, commercial and emergency-vehicle lighting.
