WALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 27, 2013 — The XRpad 4336 from PerkinElmer Inc. is a wireless cassette-sized flat panel detector component suitable for digital radiography (DR) applications.

The device fits into a conventional table or wall-stand bucky, just like a film-screen cassette, for DR upgrades/retrofits or new systems. It provides a 15-million-pixel image matrix, automatic exposure detection (AED), a 100-μm pixel pitch and a directly deposited CsI scintillator for environmental protection and a sharper image.

The detector seamlessly makes the transition from film to digital and enables a lower radiation dose.
