VAN NUYS, Calif., Oct. 30, 2018 — XY StageThe AU200-170x170 stage from Optimal Engineering Systems Inc. is a low-profile device measuring 108 mm high with a compact footprint of 458.5 × 458.5 mm.

The linear travel of the X and Y axes is 170 × 170 mm, and the resolution of each axis is 20 μm as non-micro-step or 1 μm as 20 micro-steps/step with a motor driver in use. Repeatability is 2 μm, and the positional accuracy is 3 μm. The 4-mm per-turn lead screws feature 2 μm of backlash, and the stages have preloaded V-groove and crossed roller bearings, contributing to high precision and stiffness.

The stage is designed for applications such as alignment, assembly, laser drilling, machining, medical, industrial, semiconductor handling, testing, scanning, and optical applications.
