HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Jan. 24, 2013 — For industrial applications, Schneider Optics is presenting lightweight xenon-ruby C-mount lenses.

Available in focal lengths of 2.2/10 mm, 2.3/16 mm, 2.2/25 mm and 2.3/35 mm, they can be used in applications such as traffic control, 2- and 3-D measurement, machine vision, and surveillance and security systems.

Xenon-ruby lenses are designed for 1/1.8-in. sensors (9-mm image circle). The robust mechanical design with lockable iris and focus is resistant to vibration and guarantees a high and uniform image quality over the entire sensor. With a magnification range from ß´ = 0.1 to infinity, the lenses can resolve a pixel size of 4.65 µm. Broadband transmission covers the range from 400 to 1000 nm.
