VAN NUYS, Calif., April 12, 2022 — Yaw-and-pitch StagesThe YP100-45 series of yaw-and-pitch stages from Optimal Engineering Systems Inc. provide precise measurements of compound curves and angles of an object during inspection or reverse engineering.

The stages were developed through the integration of a rotary stage and a goniometer, having a travel range of +/-45°. The four available motor options are: stepper motor-driven axes, three-phase servo motor-driven axes, direct-current servo brushed motor-driven axes, and stepper motor-driven axes with quadrature optical encoders for position verification.

Applications include laser machining and drilling, scanning, tracking, mirror positioning, coordinate measuring machines, and autocollimators.
