TUCSON, Ariz., Aug. 14, 2020 — Yb-Doped Fiber Amplifier ModuleA Ytterbium (Yb)-doped fiber amplifier module from AdValue Photonics Inc. is designed to handle mW peak power for 15-ps pulse widths and 70-kW peak power for 5-ns pulse width in single-frequency linewidths, with an average power of 120 W and a beam quality of M2<1.2.

With a gain fiber length of 20 cm, optical nonlinearities are suppressed. The amplifier module is packaged to a compact size of 217×30×17 mm. No direct water cooling is needed. Users can significantly improve their lasers’ optical performance, operating stability, design flexibility, and cost effectiveness, especially for signal amplifications in ultrafast pulsed laser systems and narrow-linewidth pulsed laser systems.
