NORCROSS, Ga., Feb. 6, 2023 — The DirectLase™ Premium Ytterbium (YB)-doped optical fiber from OFS is designed for directed energy fiber laser systems.

Providing high performance in high-power, narrow-linewidth fiber lasers, the Yb-doped gain fibers simultaneously increase the fiber laser's operating power while decreasing optical nonlinearities. Those benefits provide a performance increase through narrower spectral linewidth at higher power. Users can reliably scale systems that depend on combining many laser modules together.
