FREIBURG, Germany, May 12, 2014 — Z-LASER introduces the ZQ-blue, a new compact, powerful blue laser, for projection, inspection and image processing applications.

The new laser combines homogeneity of ±15 percent with IP50 protection class. A 1 W/450 nm laser diode provides ultrafine projections while simultaneously producing extremely high-power density. The device can also be used for image processing applications with high ambient light interference.

The ZQ-blue features intelligent monitoring capabilities and built-in thermoelectric cooling for very high stability of power, wavelength and lifetime. It can be equipped with various line and spot optics, as well as a selection of diffractive optics. The ZQ-blue laser is controlled via RS-232 or RS-485, and provides a TTL modulation up to 10 kHz or up to 1 kHz via PLC.
