LITTLETON, Mass., July 30, 2013 — Made by opsira and distributed by Lambda Research Corp., the robogonio is a multifunctional robotic goniometer that measures light sources and luminaires for optical and illumination design.

The instrument characterizes the sources using six-axis measurement of angular-dependent photometric and radiometric parameters. With the ability to manipulate measurement angles, the device can scan virtually any geometry in the A, B or C planes using a single system. This versatility eliminates the need to move the test material or recalibrate the unit. The goniometer has both near- and far-field capabilities.

The ray data for design and analysis of illumination systems is produced using Lambda Research Corp.’s proprietary TracePro and other software.
