Andor Technology Ltd. has announced the Zyla 4.2 PLUS sCMOS camera, featuring quantum efficiency (QE)-boosted sensor technology, 99.8 percent quantitative linearity and application-specific modes.

The Zyla's QE profile maximizes at 82 percent and is designed for a range of common fluorophores. It is speed-optimized to deliver a sustained frame rate of 53 fps at full resolution through a USB3 interface. On-camera intelligence delivers linearity improvement, providing quantitative measurement accuracy across the full dynamic range.

The device is designed for both research and OEM usage, including scanning light-sheet microscopy, line-scan confocal microscopy and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy.
