BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Oct. 4, 2024 — Oxford Instruments Andor sCMOS CameraThe Marana 4.2B-6 from Oxford Instruments Andor is a back-illuminated science CMOS (sCMOS) camera for applications in the physical sciences and astronomy. The camera uses a low noise mode that reduces read noise to 1.0 e-, a high-speed mode for fast imaging applications such as quantum computing and fast spectroscopy, a long exposure mode to suppress the effect of amplifier glow, and a global clear mode that purges charge from all rows of the sensor simultaneously at the exposure start. The Marana 4.2B-6 also features 4.2 MP resolution, -45 °C vacuum cooling, two-lane CoaXPress connection, and 135 fps of high-speed operation.
