BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Aug. 30, 2018 — The Marana 4.2B-11 back-illuminated camera platform from Andor Technology Ltd. is designed for physical sciences.

Featuring 95 percent quantum efficiency and market-leading vacuum cooling down to −45 °C, the Marana provides high sensitivity and dynamic range photometry. A 4.2-MP array format with 11-μm pixels enables a 32-mm diagonal sensor. The full 2048 × 2048 array is accessed through implementation of antiglow technology, allowing use of the full sensor area across a wide range of exposure durations.

The large field-of-view sCMOS device delivers up to 48 fps and is perfectly suited for dynamic astronomy applications, such as space debris tracking, near earth object detection, and solar astronomy.
