The Sona-6 back-illuminated sCMOS camera from Andor Technology can be used for life science research and detection in challenging, light-starved imaging applications.
The noise floor has been reduced to ≤1.0e-, which, when combined with the 95% quantum efficiency and low dark current, allows detection of weak signals. Exposures and phototoxicity are reduced, maintaining cell physiology for fast and gentle imaging of delicate cells over longer durations. Applications include live-cell confocal and single molecule studies.
