sCMOS Gen II Cameras

A line of scientific CMOS (sCMOS) cameras with resolutions of 1280 × 1024, 1920 × 1080 and 2048 × 2048 pixels is being offered by Photonic Science and Defence Vision Systems for industrial and scientific end users. They operate in the visible spectrum from 350 to 1100 nm.

High-responsivity sCMOS sensors with single-electron readout noise enable optimum photon collection with a good signal-to-noise ratio. Based on a second-generation sensor, the cameras offer high quantum efficiency and a 16-bit dynamic range with full-well capacity >30,000 electrons.

With on-chip correction and autoexposure control, they operate at 30 fps using a Gigabit Ethernet interface for fast acquisition. The Camera Link version delivers 100 fps.

Thermoelectric cooling down to −30 °C enables stable image acquisition. Genicam compliance easily integrates the camera with industrial GigE standard software development kits. OEM versions are available.
