It uses the Foveon X3 Pro 10M CMOS direct image sensor and has 30-bit digital color output, support for all sensor scan modes and a parallel LVDS interface. The camera is compatible with a wide range of standard optics and has an automatic internal dark-frame shutter mechanism and controls for synchronized illuminators.
