Applied Cutting 1300+ Jobs
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 12, 2009 – In the wake of posting a net loss of $305 million for 2009, chip-making equipment manufacturer Applied Materials said it will cut between 1300 and 1500 jobs, or 10 to 12 percent of its work force, over the next 18 months.
