FIBER TERMINATION
Mar 1, 1998 — The Molex XPress Termination kit from Molex Fiber Optics is designed to terminate horizontal fiber optic cabling in local-area network systems. The user applies an adhesive and an accelerant directly to the fiber, producing an immediate bond between the fiber and the ceramic ferrule. The adhesive requires no measuring or mixing. The kit includes 12 connectors, rubber strain-relief boots for 3-mm and 900-µm cable, one tube of adhesive, accelerant, stripping template and step-by-step instructions.
