Jun 1, 2009 — The Genesis 355 all-solid-state lasers from Coherent Inc. provide true CW output in the ultraviolet. Based on proprietary optically pumped semiconductor laser technology, they are available with output powers of 40, 60, 80 and 100 mW. They feature beam quality of M2 <1.2 and noise of <0.5% rms. The lasers are suitable for use in confocal microscopy applications involving Hoechst and Indo dyes, and for flow cytometry applications such as egg and fertilized egg sorting.
