Company offers credit for damaged lenses
Mar 6, 2014 — Laser Research Optics of Providence, R.I., will offer a credit of up to 20 percent toward new CO2 lenses if purchasers return their damaged 1.5- and 2-in. zinc selenide lenses. The offer applies primarily to metalworking laser lenses, which can be harmed by splatter. Besides giving customers an incentive, the arrangement promotes proper disposal of lenses. Laser Research Optics’ CO2 laser lenses are designed for 200-W to 4-kW lasers. Fea-turing focal lengths from 3 to 10 in. in 0.5-in.
