Scientific Digital Imaging Acquires Opus Instruments
CAMBRIDGE, England, Feb. 19, 2014 — Scientific Digital Imaging (SDI) plans to expand and enhance its digital imaging technology through the recent acquisition of Opus Instruments for £1.33 million (about $2.2 million) in cash and shares. SDI cites in particular Opus’ Osiris camera as a valuable gain in the acquisition, calling it the first such device for IR reflectography to provide high-resolution, high-speed images in a small portable form.
