LUXEMBOURG, Sept. 3, 2020 — By coating droplets of an aqueous solution of hydroxopropyl cellulose with silica nanoparticles, and placing these “liquid marbles” inside an organic solvent, scientists have successfully made and displayed structural colors from cellulose-based polymers.
