PHOTONICS MEDIA
2017 Reader Survey: Photonics Media Beacons

Beacons are the photonics industry's luminaries who are guiding the scientific and business communities to optics and photonics through their work in the following categories:

  • Educator: Through their passion and innovative teaching style, has inspired students at the high-school through post-graduate levels to go on to make their mark on the photonics industry.
  • Researcher: Has shown vision and perseverance that led to a significant advance in optics or photonics.
  • Industry Advocate: Has championed a new technology, application or service with passion and persistence, advancing photonics awareness. Honorees have "moved the needle" through their hands-on approach, especially active in bringing key issues to the forefront of public awareness.
  • Entrepreneur: Has cultivated an emerging technology that promises to significantly impact the industry, moving it from the lab to the market.
  • Leader: CEO or C-level individual who has led a photonics company or division that has had a significant impact on the industry. Honorees may have aggressively built market share for their product lines or led an expansion in a product category.
Please submit a separate entry for each Beacon you wish to nominate. Deadline for submissions is July 3, 2017.

The results of the survey will be published in the September issue of Photonics Spectra.
