Photonic Silicon & 3-D Printable Optics - LIGHT MATTERS 04.03.2013

-Shrinking OCT -Photonic Logic Gate -Intravascular OCT This week on Light matters: bulk silicon emits visible light, 3-D printable optics are open sourced, a European project aims to shrink light engines for OCT, a logic gate is formed from solid-state qubits and photons, and imaging technology could lower the number of deaths from heart conditions. Light Matters is the Photonics Industry’s weekly newscast and is hosted by Photonics Media editors Melinda Rose & Laura Marshall.
