ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Tunable sensitivity sets dynamic photodiode apart from all existing photodiodes, including SPADs. The AI in dynamic photodiode technology is able to dynamically adjust sensitivity at the pixel level to adapt to changing light conditions and keep the high precision of depth measurements. This presentation elaborates on the concept and design of these emerging photodiodes and how they are set to impact today’s sensing applications.

***This presentation premiered during the 2022 Photonics Spectra Conference. For more information on Photonics Media conferences, visit events.photonics.com.

About the presenter:
Serguei OkhoninSerguei Okhonin, Ph.D., received his master’s degree in physics from Novosibirsk State University in Russia in 1980 and his doctorate degree from the Swiss Federal Institute in Lausanne (EPFL) in 2001. From 1980 to 1993, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Semiconductor Physics in Novosibirsk, focusing on semiconductor device physics. From 1994 to 2003 he worked as a research associate at EPFL. Before co-founding ActLight, he co-founded Innovative Silicon, an IP company developing new memory-storage technology, where he served as CTO and chief scientist. In 2007, he was named the EE Times ACE Awards "Innovator of the Year.” He has authored and co-authored over 50 papers and filed over 100 patents.
