About This Webinar
This presentation shines a spotlight on the transformative laser technology known as coherent beam combining (CBC). While this technology has been known for decades, it only recently has been introduced into commercial applications, with Civan Lasers emerging as a leading player in the field. During this webinar, Eyal Shekel delves into the fundamental principles of CBC and explores its versatile configurations, which encompass filled aperture and optical phased array techniques.

CBC lasers offer several unique capabilities that set them apart. Firstly, they provide the ability to finely modify beam characteristics in both spatial and temporal dimensions. Secondly, they enable a generation of high-power laser beams while preserving beam quality across various wavelengths. Lastly, these lasers excel at maintaining a small beam diameter over long distances through active phase correction. These remarkable features hold immense potential for a wide range of applications, spanning from laser welding and free space optical communication to power transmission. This presentation promises valuable insights into the latest developments in this field for laser technology enthusiasts or engineers seeking to harness the power of CBC. Don't miss out on this opportunity to explore the future of laser technology.

Who should attend:
Engineers, R&D scientists, manufacturers, and designers who work with coherent beam combining and laser technology. Laser manufacturers and engineers who work in laser welding and communication applications. Those in industries such as aerospace, automotive, defense, and energy.

About the presenter:
Eyal Shekel, Ph.D., is the founder and CEO of Civan Lasers, the first company to develop industrial lasers based on coherent beam combining. Prior to Civan, Shekel founded Cielo, a leading company in the manufacture of fiber optical gyros and navigation systems, and he was founder and general manager of Chiaro Networks, which developed the largest optical switch in the world. He received his doctorate in physics at New York University.
