Michael Alan Stein was elected treasurer of the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS). Stein is president of Electro-Science Laboratories Inc., a multinational electronic materials company. Max Lyon was appointed president and CEO of LifeSpex Inc., a biophotonics company developing laser-based products for cancer diagnosis. Lyon was previously a founder, CEO and chairman of NexCura Inc., a Web-based cancer management firm.
Eric W. Wilkinson was appointed general manager, genetic systems, at Applied Spectral Imaging of Israel. Wilkinson will focus on developing multiplexing systems, including molecular probes, for the genomic and other biotechnological markets.
