John R. Kreick, head of JKConsulting, was elected chairman of the board of Draper Laboratory at its October board meeting. Kreick will provide oversight of the major program arenas and business development for the not-for-profit research and development organization. He has a 30-year tenure in the defense electronics industry.
Silicon Storage Technology Inc. (SST) has signed a deep submicron technology licensing agreement with Emosyn, the fabless semiconductor division of ATMI. Emosyn will license SST's SuperFlash technology at 0.25-micron for use in its products in exchange for licensing fees and royalties. Emosyn has been licensing SST's SuperFlash technology at 0.5- and 0.35-micron technologies since September 1999.
