CERRITOS, Calif., Feb. 6 -- Millennium Dental Technologies has been granted FDA clearance to market its PerioLase dental laser for gingival incision and excision and laser curettage (removal of diseased or inflamed soft tissue in the periodontal pocket), according to the company. The PerioLase uses a proprietary procedure called Laser Periodontal Therapy (LPT) as an alternative to traditional surgery.
