Vincent Associates announced it has received a US patent for a new damping system in its Uniblitz CS electro-programmable shutter line. Foreign patent applications are pending. The company, based in Rochester, N.Y., makes mechanical shutter systems for high-speed applications. The systems are used in industrial microscopes, flanges, holography and fluorescence microscopes.   . . .   San Diego, Calif.-based Prodosyst Automation has selected Adept Technology's robots, vision systems and controls for use with its TrueFlex automated medical device assembly system. Adept makes factory automation components and systems for the fiber optic, telecommunications, semiconductor, automotive, food and durable goods industries. Its products are used for small parts assembly, material handling and ultraprecision process applications.
